Presentations to be included during meetings where neighbors can learn about planned blasting activities and other construction impacts for East End Crossing

Representatives of INDOT/IFA and WVB East End Partners will give presentations of about 30 minutes during upcoming community meetings regarding planned blasting activities and other construction impacts related to the construction of the East End Crossing, including traffic maintenance plans.  The community meetings are scheduled on Wednesday, April 24, in Utica, Ind., and on Thursday, April 25, in the East End of Louisville.  The community meetings will last three hours, and the presentation will be given once per hour.  (See presentation times and other details below.)

Attendees will receive information regarding pre-blast surveys that will be performed for structures within 500 feet of blasting areas on both sides of the river, as well as information about how monitoring will be done during blasting activities.  They also will receive information regarding the general timeline for blasting operations.

In addition, INDOT will provide information regarding the public’s opportunity to submit technical documentation in support of a request to prepare and implement blasting and vibration monitoring plans for additional historic structures.
